The ZeroKyst project was presented at the Norwegian Seafood Coucil's annual conference, 4 January, in Oslo. Director Erik Ianssen described the challenge the project is working on: the fisheries and aquaculture industry's fossil fuel consumption and the need to decarbonise the industry. He underlined the ethical dilemma caused by Norway's aquaculture success - and the industry's climate emissions, which increase in step with industrial activity.
He presented ZeroKyst's work, and described how the project will set into motion a rapid technology shift for all vessel types in the fisheries and aquaculture industry.
